Comments on: G Major Scale – 5th Position

Really enjoyed learning all 5 positions of the Major scale and felt pretty comfortable playing them separately. But when I tried your last exercise and attempted to combine them across the fretboard I found it quite challenging. One thing that struck me immediately was that when we learn each pattern we always start and end at the root note but when we go from one pattern to the next we are always sliding on the 1st or 6th string so without the benefit on the root note I found it difficult to know where to begin the next pattern in the sequence. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Klaus
My practice with these scales have really opened my understanding of the fretboard. As I already commented a couple of videos before this one.
I have now got to grips with just starting so slow and speeding up. Also something that I will be doing in future practice.
All in all thanks for these videos, I have looked through your website and there is a lot of knowledge to be found related to learning.
