Rather than sliding down the low E work from 2nd position into the first position for the 2 octave exercise. Etc.

G major scale 1st position has a two octave ranges within the “Cage”. Exercised this by playing scale up to octave end, back down to root then increasing by one note and extending into the next octave. Continued scale incrementally by one note ending at second octave high note then reversing the scales back down to root of first octave.

2nd and 3rd position just require moving up and down the low and high E.

Creates a scale study that requires focus. A two cup of coffee focus. Haha
