Well said, but limiting yourself to spotify, pandora and last.fm is is the modern equivalent of limiting yourself to the big record labels last century. Internet radio has thousands of stations where you can find obscure bands and styles that might never make it to the mainstream. The players can be had free, the music is free, and you’re free to hop around from station to station to your heart’s content (or, like me, until you realize it’s 2am and you’ve got to get up in four hours…).

Great post and idea. The concept seems self-evident to me, but I have no choice in the matter. I’m addicted to music. Whether I am conscious of it or not, all my musical ideas come from listening to others and using my imagination to hopefully work the mash into something original. Thanks a bunch for the chord book!
