I agree with all your points. It’s good to have them reaffirmed though.

I have only four guitars and they all stare at me in the living room. I pick my favourite up every evening and practice country blues songs, mainly.

Also, when I watch a film, I still sit with the guitar on my knee, it has to be there, and I play your great turnarounds, those kind of little bits. They’re great practice.

I don’t do anything electric, though, it’s not my thing. So I don’t have to worry about amps.

Great to have subscribed to your mail list.

Thanks again for everything.

Chris

You will end up turning off the box and just
Playing.
I am 63 years old and started playing two years ago..
I brought my first guitar when I was sixteen but gave up after a couple of months it’s one of the biggest regrets of my life.
But giving it another go and it’s beautiful love every minute of just playing slow blues

Keep it right beside you – Its to be played with – not admired and kept pristine. The best guitars look very USED

I have been learning to play the guitar for seven years,I once had a teacher now he had a very short temper such that whenever I made a mistake he quit. This made me to loss intrest , after sometimes I started learning via internet where by downloading anything i come across so long it tell something about the guitar. As time went I found out that I was not improving because I had a very poor foundation. I have no doubt that the information you are providing will help me lay a very good foundation.
All the best.
Rise.

Something I like to do for myself is when I accomplish a goal (such as accomplishing a song) to reward myself with something “fun” such as a nice meal somewhere or TV time. Thanks Again!

Number 10 is also right. I have only been playing 7 years now and I’m a older player now ,64 to be correct . A couple of years ago my guitar teacher in his studio would bring in a base player and he would get on drums and we picket out songs and just jammed, great way to learn. Sadly he got divorced and hade to move out that was the end of that. One day I’ll tell you why it took me so long to learn guitar it’s a true story.
